The Mountains of Pike and Rose

This painting is based on a series of photographs taken from a spot across the street from the North Bethesda Marriott along executive Boulevard looking toward the Pike and Rose center. I was impressed by the colors and shapes of the multiple buildings that house residences, retail stores, a hotel, offices, restaurants, etc. Must of the painting was done using palette knives.
